The client blister packs pens and lighters and sends them to retail outlets. Seasonality causes them to recall unsold packages and cut the good product out to change over the package look. Workers were opening them by hand causing cuts, lost work and overall creating a costly process to change over. They needed to find a solution.

Packard Automation created and built a very safe and robust machine that makes it almost impossible to get a hand or finger into the cutting area. This unit works ten times faster than hand cutting and it actually saves labor time and money.
